“Life Palette - Digital Fingerprints” is a book that was created to delve into the concept of visualising our lives through the lens of our digital presence on social media. The book explores how the images we share online form a unique visual barcode, representing our individual digital fingerprints.
Life Palette is an innovative exploration of how our digital lives, specifically our social media activity, can be distilled into a unique visual representation. The book examines how each photo we share contributes to a composite image of our life, creating a digital fingerprint that is as unique as a physical one. This concept not only reflects on our personal history but also raises questions about privacy, identity, and the permanence of our online presence.
The ‘digital fingerprints’ were created by using the Processing software and its respective coding language. Processing was utilized to analyse and construct a visual representation of each person's social media photographic data, condensing thousands of photos into a singular image.
